This reply is for Greg:
The idea is to hold 4 polls in parallel in the first round. You may choose 1 name out of each poll. This means everyone gets to choose 4 names of the total of maybe 20-30.
The winning names of EACH poll (4 names, except if there is a tied score, then more) are then put into a NEW and SINGLE (second round) poll, out of which the final choice is made.
The reason for doing it this way is that all the names have an equal chance of getting chosen, and the alphabetical order keeps it as unbiased as possible.
If we start working with everyones 4 favourites, we'll have a never ending list (and a never ending discussion) with which someone might feel unheard...
BY THE WAY, I'M ADDING THE NEW NAMES AS MODIFICATIONS TO THE LIST I ALREADY MADE.

Hi Chaim,
I now understand how you are going to run the poll.
However, what happens if all or nearly all of a persons names are close enough alphabetically to fall in the same group? If those names are all good ones, then only one of them will make it into the final round.
I guess no method is perfect, so we'll try it your way anyway. I'm sure that either way a good name will be selected.
By the way Chaim, the names on your list are not in alphabetical order.
Cheers, Greg

OH, BY the way, we could actually select TWO names for the coin(s). Just like Damanhur has the Credito and the Cali, we could have 2 names, one for the "cents" and one for the "dollar". Good idea?

Erik,
Yes, it is a possible option, whether we reach a tie in the Chaim's second round of voting or not, the two most popular names could be used as you say. However, we would probably have to put this option up to a vote (and if the names are tied, which name is the large denomination and which is the lower denomination... another vote would be needed). If your option is not approved, then a third round of voting on just the two tied names will be required.
We'll have to talk about this further.
Cheers, Greg

Brilliant!!!! Well, when we consider funds, we may need to wait until the 5th anniversary to issue a coin. Especially if we all agree to do some more advertizing after our add appears in UWC (if it is successful in attracting visitors/members). So if we proceed slowly, that should be less stressful. By then, our image/reference libraries should be quite interesting!! And more of a draw for members. Like George says, right now we don't have a whole lot of substance to offer (I forget his exact words, but it sounded good- we hava a main page and this discussion board, and a request for $15) and he's right. But what we have sure does look good! Rome wasn't built in a day...
