As I've noted elsewhere, the abovenamed magazine has agreed to begin publishing a monthly 1500-word article on the subject of "unrecognised states" coins, written by members of the USNS, starting in June 2005. Needless to say this represents a fantastic oportunity for us to promote our interest in offbeat coins/places in a major numismatic publication. I have taken the liberty of creating a list of proposed article subjects/authors which I have sent as an attachment to our Yahoo mailing list, and on which I welcome comments/feedback. Deadlines are still to be confirmed, but are approximately a month in advance of publication. I would also like people to nominate themselves as contributors for the so-far-unfilled slots, so I can submit a full year's schedule to the magazine editor asap. I will function as the conduit between article authors and the magazine, and will sub-edit all contributions. Article authors will retain copyright on their submissions, so they can be published elsewhere if desired. Email me at emperor@atlantium.org with any questions/feedback/comments etc.

Hi George, Read your article and it's a real good one; if it doesn't win over any converts, I don't know what will! In regards to the photo of that man being crowned Emperor of Byzantium, that's got to be Eric Idle (just joshing, but the resemblance seems uncanny!) from Monty Python, or his father (or uncle).

Ghee wheeze, I was thinking the same thing about Eric Idle.
His son went to school with my daughter, and he is as funny in life as he is in Monty Python.
Are you sure this isn't a joke?
As for the article - it is very well written and very informative. WELL DONE !!!!!
