Howdy my fellow collectors. I found a website that is in French only and I don't know what it says but I do understand this: "La principauté d'Yvetot " which means The principality of Yvetot. here is the website: yvetot.site.voila.fr/

Hi Richard,
Yvetot is a town in France, which in the past was a kingdom/princedom of sorts, but as most princedoms in Europe finally did, it dissapeared into oblivion.
From what I understand (with my limited french...), the site comes up for the rights of the Norman minority in France. It seems the site calls for a status of some sorts for the Normans (??autonomy??), so if they ever decide to mint a coin, it would probably fit in nicely with the Padania & Shawnee coins.
You can find some explanation about the "principality" in English on the Yvetot site itself (check the "Histoire" and "Normandy" links).
