Ladies & Gentlemen, This is the official launch of The Ultimate State of Tædivm, a brand new conceptual micronational state (or is it state of mind...). As of less than an hour ago, I recieved the first of the Tædivm coins, the homepage ( www.taedivm.org/ ) has been updated and anyone who is interested can have a "sneak" preview of the coins. The step from designing the coin until the minting has taken much longer than planned; after having commited myself to the idea (a bit too late...), I realised there must be a reason that there just aren't that many holed coins around... most mints won't even think of minting one. But, thanks to Alan Trammell from PMP I did finally get the project off the ground.

Hi Erik,
Thanks for the compliments on the message board as well as those on your "links" site!!!
I really loved playing around with the concept of an ultimate state of tedium and enjoyed designing these coins. I have always hoped it would somehow show in the end result...
By now probably everybody who ordered the coins has their set (or will in the next week) and I hope they like them as well...

Hi Chaim! It is my sincere hope that the entire process has been (and continues to be) completely enjoyable to you. Designing, selecting a mint, submitting the design, working with the mint and fine-tuning their version of the design, waiting (wondering…worrying), receiving the coins in installments, packaging, mailing…it’s a neat, time-consuming process! I was sold on the witty idea of your coin from the get-go; as you know, I adore conceptual-type coins, ones that are “from” a completely imagined/created/invented locality/non-territorial entity as opposed to a real “charted” land. In a world of out-of-the-blue NCLTs that originate from who-knows-where, it’s easy to become a tad ambivalent/skeptical about some of them. I guess there are so many viable “statelets” out there (territories, islands, regions) that could theoretically have a coin, one could argue that it may be a little too easy to just pick a location from an atlas and make a coin for it (I guess this is when the actual design elements of the coin really become all the more important. How creative is it? How unique or memorable? Or worth PRIZING as opposed to just storing? Mr. Zinkann’s artistry comes to mind as being quite wonderful). So I truly commend you on your creativity and taking the concept to its numismatic zenith. To me, this is when coinage becomes poetry and gets transported to an entirely different level. But please don’t get me wrong, USNSers; I pretty much get excited about ANY coin that comes our way; it’s ALL good! It also goes without saying, of course, that I have a special place in my heart for the tremendously exciting coins from USNS members (Monte Cristo, Westarctica, etc…), and I look forward to many more!

Nearly two years after I started the TÆDIVM project, the last of my ½ Gaap coins, a silver prooflike strike, was sent out this morning to Finland. To sum it up, the TÆDIVM ½ Gaap coins have found warm homes in Atlantium, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Christiania, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Padania, Mexico, Montechristo, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Spain, USA and Zilchstadt. Who knows, maybe they'll end up in even more places... And... Bruce Colin II is adding them to the Krause Unusual Coin Catalogue, 5th edition, which is due later this year. Thanks to all of you who bought the coin(s) or otherwise supported me in this project!!! The online adress to see the coin (including the varieties) is: www.taedivm.org/coin-taedivm1.html
