Hello Klaus and group! Yes, this site is fairly new, it is by Mohammad Haseeb Naz, whom I met via the Zilchstadt coin. He lives in Saudi Arabia, and was at one point quite excited about these types of coins (as evidenced by his complex site). He even planned to mint his own coin, and was trying to narrow his idea/location down from 3 excellent choices. But then after not hearing from him for a while, I e-mailed him and he said he no longer plans to mint the coin; he recently married and I think his hobby has really taken a back seat. Perhaps there are some cultural factors related to this decision (having to do with what happens after marriage, influence/expectations of in-laws and the new extended family?). Perhaps would be a good topic for a doctorate's thesis someday when the study of Unrecognized States (and by extension, their coinage) becomes a University subject!!! It could happen!!

I had the pleasure of contacting Mohammed quite a few times last year; he was keen, enthousiastic and knowledgeable about his subjects.
I had asked Mohammed to join us at the time we were just starting the USNS newsgroup, but he said he was interested in the coins themselves, but did not like newsgroups or message boards... maybe now that we're "official" he might be interested in joining, even though his collecting interests are more "back seat"...

I just sent him an e-mail letting him know that you guys had complimented him. I also asked him that if minting a coin was a special dream of his, to not abandon it, to not let go of it just yet. That's all reality is anyhow, I guess, people making their "dreams" come true (inventions, ideas...). One fantasy coin may not mean much in the larger scheme of things, especially with everything that is going on in the world, but it has the potential of indeed being something significant. I asked him to keep it at the back of his thoughts, and to re-visit it from time to time. Even if it is years down the road, he may decide that it is the time to do this special, creative project. I again invited him to join us, and that we'd give him plenty of encouragement any time he needed it!
