Hello Group! The 1 Numisma coin from Kamberra has been produced! There are several beautiful qualities of this coin, not the least of which is that it is bi-metallic (alpaca and niclal). Those 2 metals are supposed to have real nice colors to them, so I am eager to see them up close. Those of you who subscribed to it at the end of last year should have it on the way to them already. Those of you who did not subscribe to it, please visit: www.kamberra.com/And follow the links to the coin-page. Franck is a great guy of utmost trustworthiness and a man of his word. I guess there are so many "shady" people in the micro-national world that it reflects badly on the truly good ones, of which Franck is definitely one. Did I ever tell you that there were a couple of micro-national leaders who, after I contacted them, claimed to already have issued a coin, but that they were no longer available? They apparently did not even manage to keep one for themselves (absurd!), or even an image of the coin (100 times more absurd!). One of them offered to send me an image of the original design, which was all he had. Can you believe this? In an effort to put an end to all the b.s., I said no thanks! Anyhow, Franck's e-mail address is contact@kamberra.com

Hello group!! I've been informed by Franck Medina that he will be minting 5 new coins (one features Einstein, another Elvis, and there is a cute one with a toucan). He would like orders and payments to be sent to him (he accepts Paypal) as soon as possible so that coins are shipped in September/October of 2005. "That's a pre-order with reservation." Images of all 5 coins can be viewed at www.kamberra.com/(you have to go to the “SHOP” page) Erik

For the record, there's an error variety of the 2004 1 Numisma coin in existence. Among the coins I bought from Franck Medina there was one which had a "teardrop" form under the eye in the portrait. When I asked about this, Franck confirmed that there were 21 coins with this error (out of the total mintage of 1002 Kamberra coins minted in 2004).
I will send a scan of this coin to the coin library, so that this coin can be compared to the "regular" issue.
