While cleaning out my folks home after 74 yrs of family habitation, I came across 4 sets of proof "Sovrano Militare Ordine Di Malta" coins. There are 2 coins per set and dated 1969. Both are 30mm dia. One is .986 % silver (9 Tari) and the other is bronze (10 Grani). The silver '9 Tari' weighs 9 grams and has .2894 ASW. I read that in 1964, the Malta order minted their own coins. Hi, I have one of these coins and have found next to no information about it. It's a 100 liras silver coin with John Paul ii bible study picture on one side with a crest and has knights of Malta on other side. Is this a fantasy issue that is worth nothing?
